Pardon the interruption
David and I are interviewing author Steve Charles. You are invited!
This is the worst way to promote, but I took over my local writer's organization this year and am managing at least three email lists.
Musician, writer, and editor Steve Charles recently released one of those books that will stick with you, give you a book hangover, and—value-added!—will show you a way through the dark days at the end of a loved one’s life.
Truly a gifted writer and songwriter, Steve embodies a habit of being, and his writing will expand your heart.
Steve’s brother Mike and his wife asked him to be present in those final weeks of Mike’s life.
They weren’t particularly close throughout their adult years, but the sheer joy of boyhood together in the West, the smell of the creosote bushes and oleander, the risk-taking and joys of their younger years come alive as Steve wonders why Mike trusted him to be there and help in those final intimate weeks of Mike’s life. Why was he let in? He wondered.
Steve became the scribe and wrote tenderly of the sacred communion of bearing witness with Mike’s family and caring for him.
David and I are hosting the conversation with Steve.
